Reversing A Bad Start to Your Day
The start to your day sets the tone for how the entire day will go.
Consequently, it’s important to do everything you can to make your morning a foundation for a great day.
But let’s get real, this doesn’t always happen.
For many years I would wake up unhappy and that would set the tone for the rest of the day.
Once that happens, you’re fighting an uphill battle just to get back to neutral because you’re caught up in negative emotional states.
If you want to optimize how your day goes, get ahead of it by taking some time to intentionally get yourself into a positive state of mind.
This morning I woke up in a mediocre mood. I just wasn’t feeling great. I didn’t do any routine today because I take Sunday’s off to do whatever I want, but today I knew I needed some kind I’d reset or else my unhappy state of mind would continue.
So I went outside for 5 minutes and thought about how I wanted my day to go. I created positive energy and thought about things I was grateful for.
This was a complete reset for me. It changed the trajectory of my day. I went from unhappy to optimistic and grateful in a matter of minutes.
So how do you do this?
For you, this could mean thinking about how you want your day to go.
It could be thinking about what you’re grateful for.
It could be meditating.
It could be exercise.
It’s up to you to figure out the “what”, but as long as you focus on the “why” you’ll figure it out in time.
Why do you want to start your day, every day, off on a positive note?
